September / October 2009

Working hard on felt  and eco art for an exhibition.  Concentrating on eco colour and the changes in the surrounding bush.  Getting some new colours for my felt and silk art.  Started to stitch more art with dyed silk threads.  Enthusiastic about the new directions and developments.

June / July / August 2009

Winter was spent keeping the home fires burning.  The cold  weather affecting my health and not really alllowing me to do too much.  Looking forward to warmer days.  Developed some new silk eco dye techniques, and made some felt, but all in all work was pretty slow.

April / May 2009

Had a market stall at the Artists Market in April.  Recieved lots of encouraging comments and feedback about my art.

Now working with silk and  impressed with the eco-colour obtained on the silk.  See eco art gallery.

Developing felt art and eco art with the onset of the cold weather.

Had a well deserved holiday in May.  Rain at last.

March 2009

Have been getting a few things ready for a new gallery that is opening this month.  It is in Castlemaine where Culpepers used to be.  It is the Steiner Gallery.  Am planning to have that workshop late April, stay tuned for more information.  And if you have already emailed me then you are on my list to get all the information about the workshop.

Have made some felt, and been exploring the vegetation dyes further.  Have placed some new pictures in my Eco Art Gallery for you to look at.

January and February 2009

January was hot, and the fires took their toll on everyone.  Had family here, and it was far to hot for creativity.

February flew, and was also too hot for me to create much.  Had some time with family and friends.  My back is still not right, and there is not much being created.  Been busy exploring and learning about the dye pots and native vegetation.  Am now creating Eco wear and selling it in local galleries.

December 2008
The exhibition is underway and it is great to have my work out on display.  I have had some very favourable reports in the newspaper and special mentions about my fibre art.

It is fantastic to get some work out there in the public arena.

Here are some pictures for you.

November 2008

After lots of hard work I have now finished several very large felt art works for the exhibition in December/January.  The exhibition will be held at Castlemaine Market Building and opens on December 5th 2008.

Have  also been dyeing lots of wool with native vegetation for my next felt art landscapes.  These works will have very subtle tones and be mainly constructed of merino wool, alpaca, and silk.   Also traveling to Canberra this month for a workshop on eco-dying with India Flint.

The dye workshop with India was fantastic.  I learned so much about native vegetationd dyes.

Thanks for all the interest in the feltmaking class, will be running another class next year.

October 2008

This month has been a busy  month with lots of feltmaking  beginning to happen again, and this webpage design.  Hopefully things will get back to normal soon.

Have also been working hard on felt art for an exhibition to be held in December and January.

A one day Felt Making Technique Class will be held in December  2008 for interested  feltmakers.   No experience is necessary for this class, however more advanced classes will be held in 2009 .  Numbers are limited for each class, and the full details will be listed here soon.

If you wish to send an expression of interest in this class or book a place at this class please send me an email at this link:
